For certain types of quality exceptions, we relaunch the corrected part in a new auction, using the details we verified at our hub. This article covers how a relaunch works.
When we relaunch
The date code differs from the one published on your listing
The parts are not the part number listed
The parts are damaged
The parts are pre-programmed and this was not disclosed. See Condition of Listings.
Several issues turn up on the same listing
A quantity variance or non-original packaging was declined by the buyer
Why relaunch
A relaunch puts your parts back in front of the whole market rather than leaving you to work out a price with one buyer. The listing is promoted to our entire network, and any buyer can place a bid on it.
You then receive bids you can review and accept, the same as you would on any auction. Your parts are also already at our hub and already inspected, so the new listing carries verified details and buyers bid with more confidence.
What happens to your original PO
The line item is removed and we adjust your original PO. When you accept a bid on the relaunch, you receive a new PO for the corrected part.
The relaunch auction
The auction runs for 5 business days with the corrected details in place. Buyers who bid on the original listing are invited, along with the rest of our network. See Auction timelines.
Reviewing bids
You review and accept bids for a relaunch the same way you would on any auction. If you would rather we handle it, your sales rep can review the bids with you or accept on your behalf.
