PO Adjustments After Inspection

This article describes when Mobius adjusts a seller's PO after inspection, covering date codes, quantity variances, non-original packaging, and the revised PO and payouts.

We inspect your parts when they arrive at our hub. If inspection finds something that changes the value of the order, we adjust your PO and send you a revised copy. This article covers when that happens.

When a PO is adjusted

Date codes revealed at inspection

If you did not publish a date code with your listing, the platform treats the parts as being within the last 3 years. If inspection reveals a date code older than 3 years, the PO may be adjusted following our published date code policy. See Date Codes.

If you did publish a date code, it is binding. Parts that arrive with a different date code are re-launched into a 5-day auction. See Relaunching a Listing After a Quality Exception.

The best way to avoid this is to provide the date code when you list, and to leave the field blank rather than guessing if you are not sure.

Quantity variances

If our inspected count differs from the quantity on your PO and the buyer accepts the inspected quantity, we adjust the PO to that count. Your unit price does not change.

Non-original packaging

If inspection reveals packaging is non-original, the PO may be adjusted following our Condition of Listings.

What you will receive

We email you with the original PO value, the adjusted value and the difference between them. The revised PO follows once it is issued.

Getting paid

Payout is 14 days after shipment to the buyer by default. See How much does Mobius charge for selling?

Questions about a finding

If you have questions about what inspection found, tell us and we will bring in your account rep. Your parts stay at our hub while you talk it through. See Can I get expert advice from Mobius Materials regarding my listings?
